Chapter 22

X looked at me like I was crazy. “Why do you want to know the last time I got some?”

“Just answer the question.”

“I got some pussy last night. Why?”

“Because we’re going to the Barbary Coast, and I don’t want your dick leading you in the wrong direction. I’ll be right back.”

I went through some of the clothes Tasha gave me and found a short leather skirt and a blouse that zipped up the front. I slipped on the shoes I had on earlier and released my hair from the bonds of the ponytail. Then I applied some of Tasha’s eye makeup and topped it off with red lipstick.

“Okay, I’m ready.” I put on my coat and gloves.

X eyed me up and down.

“Are you enjoying the view?”

“I can’t believe there was a woman under all of that bullshit.”

“Oh, shut up.”
